beasty coat hook


this mildly ferocious mythical beast cast in bronze can wear many hats and even a coat or two...
found at an antiques fair in Paris, it came home to this humble old house where it has hung out for many years now...

 the back plate measures 6 inches/15 cm long and 2 inches/5 cm wide
it sticks its neck out by 4 inches/10 cm and rears up 3 inches/7.5 cm

double-headed eagle



This ancient and powerful emblem of imperial domination from the Byzantine Empire to the Seljuk Turks to the Kingdom of Mysore to the Russian Empire among many other countries and religious orders was rescued from a local thrift store and has heralded a welcome above a hallway in this old house for almost three decades now...

Gold and red paint on cast aluminum, it measures 12.5 inches/32 cm high and 9 inches/23 cm at its widest, it is a fierce symbol ready to grace another deserving home for any current currency equaling CAD$300
